My quintet will be pulling out all the stops for this one! We have some amazing tunes lined up, including compositions by Bud Powell, Dizzy Gillespie, Gil Fuller, Varmaland, Oliver Nelson, and Herbie Hancock, as well as an “original” or two.
I’m on trumpet and flugelhorn, and with me are James Mahone on tenor, Lee Bloom on electric keyboard, Heath Proskin on upright bass and Bob Scott on drums.
We’re playing in the Fukaya Room. This is a free event. Kids are welcome so bring the whole family. There’s adequate parking right in front of the library.

I’m told that Santa may be there too, along with “face-painting” for the kids.
